Painted the chair today and cut out a seat for it...  Waiting on my new staple gun to be delivered to finish this beauty!  Still have to sand the chair around all of the edges and designs to really make them pop...

Alright, so I took some pictures of the chair..  Sorry for the poor quality, they are from my cell phone.

Okay so, this first pic is how i bought the chair.  Brown/tan antiqued finish, with the brown floral fabric.

I then took the fabric off and discovered this underneath...  This would have been very nice if it was not missing the arms!!!  

So what I plan on doing is, getting some wood to make a seat and covering it with a canvas drop cloth I got from Lowe's for $5!  I will be painting the chair Krylon Bright White satin finish tomorrow. So look forward to seeing the finished product...

I recently bought an antique chair from a flea market. It has an antiqued brown finish. I am in the process of refinishing it. I will posting pictures asap.

Very First Post

Well this is my first post.  My family and I are very excited to become new home owners.  We will be closing on the house July 24th.  The house was built in 1913.  It has about 1900 sqft.  Original hardwood floors throughout. Vinyl in all wet areas.  It is a three bed two bath. And it sits on .66 acres, right in the middle of Lonoke, Arkansas.  We have some work to do to make this house our home.  I would love for you to follow this blog and share this experience with my family.
